A local history walking tour in pure grime

Take a walk back through time with East London’s newest grime crew, with a lyrical tour of Roman Road and its historical past. From the well-known Roman Road arches to an ancient Roman grave, the suffragettes, jellied eels, pie and mash, and lesser-known stories of a proper cockney market-barrow-maker and an infamous grime hangout!

Grime Travel was an Applied Stories pilot commission for the Roman Road Trust and Queen Mary University of London to promote the Bow Heritage Trail. It was performed by students from Mulberry UTC. We intend to grow the walk into an interactive map and walking app in 2024.
